
1 c Butter
2 ts Cocoa
2 1/2 c Flour
1 ts Salt; scant
1 1/2 c Sugar
1 ts Soda
2 Eggs
1 ts Vanilla
1 oz Food coloring
1 c Buttermilk
1 ts Water

- Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, and beat well; add coloring and water.
- Sift flour, salt soda and cocoa together, and add to creamed mixture with buttermilk and vanilla. Add vinegar (fold in lightly).
- Grease and flour 2 (9-inch) cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
- NOTE: Cream Cheese frosting is delicious on this cake.
